You sit there, all happy and gay
and yet you've taken my wings away.
No more can i, fly into the night
and sprinkle magic upon the hillside.
My wings were my freedom,
my sanity and a part of me
can't you see, i loved being free.
The tears well up deep inside
and i feel my halo begin to slide,
slide away and fall down
to the earthly ground.
My tears stream down my face
no more do i have my sanity or grace.
I am now bound by your deciet
to live forever, bound by my feet
like a slave of old!
